香枫木用途

Sycamore Uses

Sycamore trees are mostly composed of the sapwood, with some darker heartwood streaks found in the majority of the boards. Sycamore has a variety of uses including veneer, furniture parts, drawer sides, millwork, paneling, molding, plywood, trim, pallets, crates, flooring, particleboard, paper, tool handles, and cutting boards. Forest Products Distributors sources our sycamore logs from the Southern region of the USA. Sycamore has interlocked grains, white to light tan sapwood, and darker reddish brown heartwood.

Radiata Pine Uses

One of the most widely imported species in the world, Radiata Pine is well suited for a variety of applications. This species has a variety of uses including construction lumber, posts, beams, fencing, concrete formers, veneer, plywood, paper, boxes, and crates. FPD sources our radiata pine logs from Chile. This species has a light brown heartwood and paler yellowish white sapwood. Radiata Pine works well with both hand and machine tools and it glues and finishes well.

Taeda/Elliotis Uses

Taeda is one of the most widely exported softwoods from Brazil. This species is most widely used for construction purposes including stringers, roof trusses, joists, piles, subflooring, and sheathing.  For exterior uses, this species is typically pressure treated with preservatives to withstand the elements. This species is sourced from Brazil. These logs have straight, uniform grain with reddish brown heartwood and yellowish white sapwood. This species has a high degree of workability in almost all circumstances.
