Hickory Uses
Hickory is the hardest, densest, heaviest, and strongest American hardwood species. Hickory is well suited for a variety of uses including flooring, paneling, furniture, cabinetry, ladder rungs, wheel spokes, and tool handles. We source hickory logs from the Southern region of the USA. Hickory wood is straight grained though occasionally wavy. The heartwood of hickory is pale to reddish brown while the sapwood is paler yellowish brown.
