Yellow Poplar Uses

Yellow Poplar is one of the most common utility hardwoods sourced from the USA. There are many uses and applications of yellow poplar including pallets, crates, furniture, paper (pulpwood), plywood, light construction, cabinetry, musical instruments, doors, exterior trim and siding, paneling, moldings, millwork, and edge-glued panels. Our yellow poplar is sourced from the Southern region of the USA. These logs have straight, uniform grain with light cream to yellowish brown heartwood and yellow to white sapwood. This species has a high degree of workability in almost all circumstances.
